A brief history
With a significant number of English speaking attendees in 2003, Chiesa Evangelica Nuova Vita created Bologna Christian Fellowship. The continued growth of the group encouraged the leadership to consider planting an english speaking church in Bologna. In May of 2003 Frisco Bible was invited to partner with Nuova Vita to plant an international english speaking church.
FBC sent Mike and Donna Catchings to Bologna in February 2004. Mike served as the planting pastor until March 2006. By then the number attending the church had significantly decreased due to the transfer out of Bologna of all the attending American families who had been on work assignment there.
In march 2006 Hertman and Mary Jane Casablanca from Atlanta, GA replaced the Catchings. In July 2006 the group decided to return to a Bible study format and enjoying informal fellowship.
Bologna Christian Fellowship is open to all English speakers in the Bologna area.
